Learning to Love What Comes
The following is a piece I edited for Mormon Insights, an online magazine tailored to young adult members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This article is a personal article that relates to an address by a Church leader, Joseph B. Wirthlin. I was to both substantive edit and copyedit but to focus more on the substantive editing. This article had a 500-word limit. For this article, I wanted to increase flow and help the author achieve a more focused text. I have redacted the author's name for privacy.

Finding Light in Laoag
The following is also a piece I edited for Mormon Insights, an online magazine tailored to young adult members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This article is a personal article that relates to the hymn, "Lead Kindly Light." The editing process was mostly of a substantive nature, but I did do some copyediting for this author. This article had a 500-word limit. For this article, I wanted to create a sense of the chronological process of this author's two-year mission to the Philippines without sacrificing storytelling or emotion. As you will see, I suggested that the author cut some experiences and lyrics to make room for deeper storytelling and explanation. I have redacted the author's name for privacy.

Will Forgiveness Come?
The following is also a piece I edited for Mormon Insights, an online magazine tailored to young adult members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This article is an explanatory summary article of a longer address by Craig A. Cardon entitled "The Savior Wants to Forgive." I both substantive edited and copyedited this article, which had a 250-word limit. Since the purpose of this short article is to drive readers to the hyperlinked main address, I wanted the author to create a teaser article that could also stand alone if the reader did not have time to read or watch the full address. I have redacted the author's name for privacy.
